I have a blog too!

I always imagined how it would be like to have my own blog, while I fanatically read my favourite lifestyle blogs. Blogs from perfect mothers, who have lots of children, perfect marriages, perfectly decorated homes, perfectly styled hair, and still manage to whip out an awesome DIY project or two. Blogs from mothers I wanted to be like. But I can’t. Why? Because I’m unemployed. And have been unemployed for the past year and a half, right since obtaining my degree.

And somehow I am convinced that if I had a job, I would have enough money to have my own home. A home, where I could live with my boyfriend, and without my mother (who I love deeply, but lately can’t stand, because my unemployment angst has come to a new high). I am convinced I would have enough money to afford a baby. A child. Or two. Or three. Four? No, three.

I am convinced I would have enough money for a family and a normal, simple family life. Is that too much to ask?

I know the mothers, whose blogs I read, are not perfect. Their lives aren’t perfect. But they are at least able to take care of themselves, and they are able to have a family of their own.

So, now, this blog will be my story. A story on battling unemployment and getting what I want – finding my first job, my first “adult” home and my first child. Hopefully, a story with a happy ending.
